Several NPHS students attended the Taylor Swift concert after securing the sought-after concert tickets that cost most students over 300 dollars each.

Taylor Swift appears to conquer the world through her lyrics, costumes, and concert atmosphere. NPHS students were no exception to this. Three juniors, Tuesday Allen, Jada Hothan, and Rauri Ryan share their Taylor Swift experience.
The unanimous opinion among concertgoers showed it was one of the best moments of their lives and the extreme positivity in the concert atmosphere.
“I am in love with Taylor Swift. Everybody was so positive and got to dress up,” Hothan said. “I don’t think I’ll ever get that concert opportunity again.”
I do value Taylor Swift’s life over my cat’s life.
— Tuesday Allen, NPHS junior
Hothan wore a sparkly skirt she made, a sparkly black tank top and white Converse. Ryan wore denim shorts with rhinestones, a black cropped tank with rhinestone tassels and white Converse as well.
Of course, they were both covered in glitter.
“I just knew that I wanted something sparkly,” Ryan said.
Allen wore her Cruel Summer Tee shirt, hat, and overalls. Her brother, who accompanied her, chose to wear a Greta Van Fleet T-shirt.
A part of the concert experience was exchanging gifts with other “Swifties” there. Hothan and Ryan made armfuls of bracelets to trade. Allen exchanged her shoe charms for others’ bracelets.
According to Ryan, the positive atmosphere is what made the concert truly special to them.

“Everyone had smiles plastered on their faces. I didn’t see a single person there that seemed to even have a little bit of negative emotion,” Ryan said.
For some attendees, it was their lifelong dream. Allen has been a Swiftie since 2014 when 1989 was released.
“I have never experienced something so amazing with someone so amazing that I have loved for so long,” Allen said. “I finally got to see her live.”
Recently, Taylor Swift announced the release of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour which will be released Oct. 13, 2023. Students who were unable to attend plan to watch, hoping to experience a little bit of the “magic.”
“I’m already going three times,” Junior Marisa Pfeifer said.
This movie may also fill the blank space in place of evocative concert memories, due to “Taylor Amnesia” as the three NPHS Swifties called it.
Overall, the students who went report a 10/10 rating and recommend going.
“Taylor Swift is the best human being to grace this planet. I would die for Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift is amazing,” Allen said. “I do value Taylor Swift’s life over my cat’s life.”
