I’m a senior. I’ve received three JEA awards: a superior in advertising; an excellent in entertainment review writing; and honorable mention in photo/artistic illustration. I also placed 4th in advertising at state journalism. I joined The Bulldogger halfway through my sophomore year. I’ve been a staff writer, Arts and Entertainment Editor, Photography Editor, Advertising Editor, and am currently the Layout Editor and the Business Editor.

Senior band conductor Joel Bradley conducts the marching band’s first performance of the school year. Bradley encourages anyone interested to join. “We’re having shortages in band,” Bradley said, “If anyone even feels like picking up an instrument, go ahead and join.” Despite the shortages, Bradley feels confident, “Our band is still one of the best it’s been no matter what, like plain and simple.”

School spirit high as first pep rally kicks off the 2019 school year

The new cheerleaders performed for the first time at Friday’s pep rally. Freshman cheerleader Avery Bergeron is one of the new cheerleaders, “It’s like our first time in front of a big crowd, so we were nervous,” Bergeron said, “It went great, I could do it again, I’m excited to perform again.”

Senior Michael Richey works on his computer. “I plan to continue writing,” Richey said, “but I don’t think I’ll get another chance to produce another play for a while.”
