Teachers braved the early morning cold to bring smiles to students’ faces on the first day of their second semester. Choir teacher Leah Purdy convinced the staff to greet students with handmade posters and earnest smiles. “It made me feel really special,” junior Miles Sweeney said.

I thought this was a great idea and it helped get students more hyped up for the school day. It wasn’t just a normal morning walking into school, you actually were cheered at and I think it helped wake everyone up.

I like that all the teachers took the time out of the day to do this. When we first came back I wasn’t entirety happy, but seeing all of them out there like that did bring a smile to my face. It mad me feel happy. Thank you teachers.
