The boys are leaving town: Riley
I wouldn’t say that my high school experience was the worst, but it was far from the coolest thing ever. I’ve heard a lot of people say that “high school will be the best time of my life,” and that’s what really terrifies me.
I don’t want to think that high school was where I reached the pinnacle of my happiness. If this were where I achieved peak happiness here, like I would never be that happy again, I would just give up all hope on my future. High school is not supposed to be the greatest time of your life.
High school is like Paul Blart: Mall Cop. When you were experiencing it for the first time, you thought, “Oh this is okay I guess.” But when it’s almost over, you think “Whoa, I just realized I didn’t like any of that.”
But hey Riley, you’re The Chucklemaster™, are you saying you didn’t have the most fun you could’ve had? Well, no, I’ve had fun these last four years, but it had little to do with high school. The Venn-diagram of fun I had in and out of school, there would just be the one circle of fun outside of school.
No one goes to school to have fun. That’s like going to Chuck E. Cheese to fill out taxes and cry yourself to sleep. Also you can’t do that at a Chuck E. Cheese. They won’t even let you. The only reasons I get up in the morning to go to school are 1) It’s required by law that I go until age 16-18. I’m already so close so why quit? And 2) It kept me social and not as awkward as I could have been. I mean, just imagine that. Sends a shiver up my spine.
The only real cool thing to come out of high school is friendship. I’ve been friends with most of the people I consider friends since middle school, but high school has really brought my real and genuine friends to light.
If I had a chance to do it all again, I might consider it. Probably. Maybe. I mean, now I know what classes not to take, like classes that are hard just for the sake of being hard and don’t really teach anything, and classes that just give out busy work instead of actually caring to teach anything.
I’ve had more amazing teachers than horrible ones, thankfully. I owe a lot, if not all, of my success to them for shaping me into the super-cool cool guy I am.
Without any of the teachers I have had, I would not be the amazing, strapping young lad that you see today. I wouldn’t have bonded with my friends in my horrible classes to get through them, so I owe that to those bad teachers I suppose. Thank you so much for this sweet release that’s now within my reach.

I think that this story is enjoyable and makes me laugh, I wish that most of the stories were like this.

This story is really good. It has that comedy in it. And it appeals to emotion and I think it’s something so many people can relate too.
