All State Choir 2015
North Platte High School’s finest voices joined the best singers from around the state at the University of Nebraska’s Lied Center Sat., Nov. 21. Choir teacher Leah Purdy said this year’s All-State Choir selectees were outstanding. “I was very proud of everyone that went,” she said. “Everyone was coming in to perform and practice when they had a chance. The students were even using their own lunch periods to come in.” The students performed seven songs alongside the 440 singers from all over Nebraska. “I’m very excited that we had a total of nine performers and six alternates, when usually, we have an average of five students going,” said Purdy. She said the strong showing helps give NPHS a good name.
