Next year, North Platte High will be receiving a new activities director.

Jimmie Rhodes was the head football coach at Mitchell High School since 2015, and has now decided to continue his career as activities director of North Platte High School.

The opportunity to be a part of a traditionally competitive Class A school is something that I’ve been working towards for the last few years,” Rhodes said. “With a strong foundation already in place, it seemed like a perfect fit for me.”

Rhodes is excited to get to know the students and administration during his next few years directing activities.

“I’m passionate about student involvement in a wide variety of school activities. Participation in diverse experiences while in school helps students develop the soft skills needed to be successful after graduation,” Rhodes said. “Working as the AD allows me to continue to support students in those experiences.”
