I Can Only Imagine how bad you’ll want to see this movie
The movie, I Can Only Imagine opens a whole new door that people find very hard to discuss. Turning an abusive childhood to a motivation to be better. Bart Millard told his story in hopes of helping others. Based off the back story of the song “I Can Only Imagine,” Millard grew up with a rough home life. With an abusive dad that he tried to please, but he couldn’t do it much longer. After he graduated, he hit the road and started the band, Mercy Me. With no record labels signing them, he went home to make things right with his father. When he got home, he had realized his father was different. Millard had watched God transform this monster that used to beat him to someone he wished he could’ve been with longer.
After Millards father’s death, the lyrics came pouring out and got back on tour with the band, after the first playing of “I Can Only Imagine,” it was hitting radio stations all over the country. Millard had got his dream and knew his father was proud.
Whether you’re a hopeless romantic or a total comedy lover, I think this movie can hit all categories. It holds heart break, sarcastic jokes and of course joy. But its also very emotional, not just your sad tearful emotions its your heart feeling warm emotional.
Sitting by two 15-year-old Jesus lovin’ girls that had actual sobs throughout the whole two hour movie was an experience. Wether your 40-years old or 90-years-old it touches the hearts of so many.
Growing up in a Christian home, I walked into this movie already believing in a God that can work wonders on anything and everything. I truly believe that this movie can give someone hope in their own life. Whether you don’t go to church or don’t even believe in a god, it’s something I highly suggest you take a chance on.
The connections that the actors made to make sure they were playing their characters role to the best of there ability was what made this movie all the better. Being able to go to a movie with such a serious story to it and the acting is hit spot on makes it what its made it be.
I was given the opportunity of being able to go to the movie with around 130 other Jesus lovin’ high schoolers and middle schoolers. We had to the privledge of having our ticket paid for and pretty much the whole movie to ourself. After somone at the church had saw the movie they knew that everybody should see it so they made it happen.
I’m truly so thankful that I was able to see this and I would hands down give this a ten out of ten recommendation.
