Last night, North Platte High hosted the Nebraska hall of Fame Jamboree volleyball game game. The lady bulldogs went 3-2 with the Gothenburg Swedes.

The players cut their loses close with a score of 25-27 in the first two sets. However, they ended the final three sets with the winning scores of 25-27, 25-20, and 15-4. Starting the season with a winning record 1-0.

For most of the team they have a good feeling for this upcoming season. “It’s looking pretty good so far,” said junior varsity coach Brian Jahnke. “We’re playing a lot of young and veteran players together and we’re working hard to accommodate that. There’s a lot of potential.” Sophomore Kelsey Salazar-Allen, predicts that this season is going to make the team better as a whole as long as they work hard and be the best that they can be. Even some players are shooting for the stars. Senior Abbi McNew said, “Well. we’re going to state. Mic drop.”
