Tonight, performers from the Dance Factory are getting together to execute themed dances in a recital. Freshman Stephani Nolda, who dances ballet, said, “This year’s theme is books, everyone’s dances are based off of books, and we portray the books. We have the Great Gatsby.¨ Sophomore Haley Piper, who dances tap and jazz, likes having themes. She said, ¨It’s cool to see all of the different dances to the songs and see how they fit into the theme.¨

The dancers have been preparing for this recital for a long time. Nolda said that they had been rehearsing since December. ¨My main goal is to dance well and have fun. We look forward to it all year, and it’s really nice because our hard work pays off,¨ she said.

On May 20, the Stage dance studio is having their recital. Senior Emma Eckel said, ¨The main goal is to portray our message [of faith] and have a lot of fun.”
