The student of North Platte high school started school on August 13th 2024. We went around and asked the students how that first day went. Here’s how the responded.
Ashley Goytia (Senior) “My first day wasn’t until Monday 19th so everybody was already adjusted in their classes but I managed to adjust myself too and get caught up with things so it wasn’t too terrible.”
Bella Gilland (Freshman) “Freshmen was new but good. It was fun to do the scavenger hunt and meet everyone, the upperclassmen being there was more crowded but felt more like it would everyday.”
Lawson (Sophomore) “My first day was great. I got to know my teachers a bit, and figured out how the rest of my semester/year is going to look. And start transitioning into a new school for me- as I just transferred from Omaha Westside and had questions and worries about coming here.”
Jesse Smith (Junior) “Pretty good, I was interested to see what this year had in store.”
Chyenne Bristol (Senior) “The first day felt like any other day. What made it so good was the fact that it was a Wednesday.”
Kassidee Preece (Sophomore) “It was hard to get back in the grove and wake up early but I survived it. I think it could have been worse to have no friends in my classes.”
Mercedes Newton (Freshman) “It was good I got to know more about the school and where the classes are.”
Maddy Lohmann (Senior) “It was great, I got all of the classes I wanted for the first semester. I had friends in every class and got to talk to all of my teachers and get to know them.”
Serenity Pike (Junior) “It was good, I got lost a couple of times but I found my way to my classes.”
