The North Platte High School cheer team brings on the spirit as Seniors Rianica Bryant, Hayden Miller and Jaleigh Comer spoke about their days in the sun at cheer camp! One thing a person can never leave behind is a good memory! They reminisce of their favorite events of the trip. “On the way to camp, we had just pulled into Lincoln, and we were blasting some music, we had this big megaphone too!”“We did a theme night and we all dressed up like dalmatians.” said Bryant.“My favorite band routine was Louie, Louie” Comer exclaimed.Even the coaches had a fun time! “The girls got all of the other teams…coaches and camp staff to do a little greeting” said Head Coach Grace Fletcher.Bryant also talked about the harder parts of cheer. “We have a band routine called ‘Hey Song’, and it’s really difficult for everyone to learn. The music plays really fast!”They have a lot more to show for their efforts than cute uniforms! Coach Sky Seery comments on their growth. “The athletes learned a lot…They were really able to work on their skills and show off what they could do.”, “We just want to bring a lot of school spirit to NPHS”, Seery said,”[as well as] showcase the skills that the girls have been working on.” Fletcher mentioned their goals as well. “As a team our goal is to improve on the things that we do!
