Now This is how our team gets ready to lock in! Sophomore Jake Kincaid (Jersey number 55) gets
hyped up by music before a game. Kincaid states, “I usually listen to ‘Animal I Have Become’ by Three
Days Grace to get in the zone”. Junior Enrique Ramos (Jersey number 58) and Senior Gabriel Moreno
(Jersey number 40) get ready for their game in style! They show off their favorite Nike cleats on the
field; Ramos sports the custom Jordan 1’s cleat.
With all this talk of zoning in, does anyone wonder if the crowd affects their energy during the game?
Ramos, Kincaid and Moreno all agree that it doesn’t, but what does affect them? Their home support.
They agree their family and friends keep them going, especially their moms.
Even with great patronage, there is sacrifice while playing. Ramos talks about his trials and tribula-
tions throughout his football career. “What really sucked was my shoulder injury, I was out for about
2 years. I also had a concussion too. All that was my freshman year.” Kin-
caid fractured his finger his freshman year. Moreno had a dead leg and
arm injury as well.
While this can be a tricky sport, they also encourage new players to en-
joy it as much as they have. Moreno says to work hard, Kincaid suggests
“…don’t be afraid of contact.”, and Ramos says to practice hard and stay humble. Overall, it’s best to keep it positive on the field and have fun while
you’re at it! Stay tuned to cheer for them this season, go Bulldogs!
