Students from Spanish classes in the area were invited to a concert by Edgar Rene on Nov. 4. World Languages teacher Tamina Hartman has been hosting this concert for about 13 years. “I just think it’s a neat opportunity for the kids to live the language in a fun way,” Hartman said. NPHS teacher Darci Holling won Dunkin’s “Raise A Cup to Teachers” sweepstakes. Donuts and coffee were supplied for teachers at the November professional development day, which she organizes here. Holling will receive free coffee for a year from Dunkin’. “I was surprised and very grateful to have won free coffee for a year,” Holling said. “My bank account thanks Dunkin’, too,” she joked. Three senior Bulldogs signed college sports contracts for next year. From left, Karsen Morrison will play golf at Creighton, Tatum Montelango will play softball at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Carly Purdy will play volleyball at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. “I’m really excited,” Purdy said. “I am walking into a really good program and I am just super excited to play with those girls,” Purdy said.
